We're very close to finally getting to see the new iPhone 12 as the iPhone 12 launch event is tonight and these phones promise to feature some of the biggest changes to the iPhone lineup in a long time.

iPhone 12 models, compared to three for the iPhone 11. And Apple will embrace 5G connectivity across the board as well as offer OLED screens on every model. Iphone will feature a significant redesign with a metal frame that's similar to the frame of the iPhone 4 or the iPad Pro. The iPhone 4 had a distinctive, flat look for its stainless steel frame, which will be replicated in the new iPhones, bringing the design in line with the 2020 iPad Pro models.

Check this out.

Most pundits agree that Apple will release four iPhone models this autumn: Pro models in 6.1in and 6.7in screen sizes, and non-Pros in 5.4in and 6.1in. But what will they be called? For most of the year the most popular theory has been this:

iPhone 12 (5.4in)
iPhone 12 Max (6.1in)
iPhone 12 Pro (6.1in)
iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7in)
However, a last-minute challenger appeared in mid-September: a well-known and generally reliable leaker reckons Apple is going to bring across the 'mini' branding from the iPad range. This would have a knock-on effect on the iPhone 12 Max, too. So it would look like this:

iPhone 12 mini (5.4in)
iPhone 12 (6.1in)
iPhone 12 Pro (6.1in)
iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7in)
Despite the leaker's track record this seemed like a long shot at first, but we've now seen additional evidence: stickers from silicone cases for the new devices. These clearly show that the smaller option will be branded as mini, complete with lower-case m just as on the iPad, iPod and Mac equivalents.

The iPhone 12 models coming in 2020 will use an Apple-designed 5-nanometer A14 chip manufactured by TSMC. The A14 chip is expected to bring both speed and efficiency improvements that could bring small gains in battery life to compensate for 5G, which uses additional battery.

All iPhones in 2020 are expected to feature OLED Super Retina XDR display technology regardless of price. There were early rumors that the iPhone 12 Pro models could support 120Hz refresh rates, but more recent info indicates Apple will wait until 2021 to unveil that feature.

The iPhone 12's pricing won't be confirmed until tonight, but we've seen one iPhone 12 price leak that predicts the cost for all four models. The iPhone 12 would start at $649 for the 5.4-inch unit and the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 would start at $749. The iPhone 11 has a starting price of $699. Yet another rumor says that this year's iPhone 12 models will cost $50 to $100 more than their predecessors because of the addition of 5G.

Apple has no plans to include a power adapter or EarPods in the box with the iPhone 12 models, letting the company cut down on production costs and packaging. Instead, Apple may offer a 20W power adapter that can be purchased separately. The USB-C to Lightning cable could get an upgrade, though, with rumors indicating Apple plans to offer a new braided cable design.

The Apple event will go live for Pakistani fans at 10pm (PST) on October 13 from the Apple Park in California .The event can be streamed on the company’s website or on their YouTube channel.
