Michael Jackson is perhaps the greatest pop star that ever lived but he was specter of accusations of child abuse continues to surround him when Michael showed his young son to the fans below by dangling him over the railing of a fourth-floor balcony at a Berlin Hotel.
The incident shocked the worldwide audience who later watched the scene on video. German and US television news program repeatedly broadcast the footage of Michael’s brief appearance with a baby.
Instantly, Michael was widely criticized for the act and demonized with some people accusing him of having evil intention of throwing the baby down. Such impression was bad for anybody’s career and Michael knew it. He realized how much of an error in judgement it was on his part. He had blundered and he knew he had to humble himself and apologize.
So Jackson issued a statement that "I made a terrible mistake. I got caught up in the excitement of the moment. I would never intentionally endanger the lives of my children."
However, you may agree with him or not, but Michael Jackson considered that incident in Berlin as his biggest mistake.
