Pete Davidson was an unknown comedian when his relationship with Ariana Grande thrust him into the spotlight. What devastating tragedy blindsided their whirlwind romance?

In 2016 While promoting her album Dangerous Woman, Singer Ariana and Comedian Pete first met, At the time, both Davidson and Grande were in relationships with other people.

In an interview Grande told "We never exchanged numbers or anything, we weren't even friends for the longest time, but I had the biggest crush in the whole world on him the whole time, like forever. Like, my friends used to make fun of me for it,"

The Dangerous Woman star revealed in her Vogue cover interview that she found her short-lived romance with Pete to be a ‘great distraction’ after Her break up from ex, Mac Miller.

Ariana and Mac were together for two years before they split up in May 2018, and Ari began dating Pete soon after the break-up happened when her friends convinced her to move to New York. She explained: ‘My friends were like, “Come! We’re gonna have a fun summer”, and then I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction and then Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are engaged after just a few weeks of dating.

According to Davidson, "The day I met her, I was like, 'Hey, I'll marry you tomorrow,'" 

Ariana Grande released her album, "Sweetener," complete with a song called "Pete Davidson." she also explained the decision on Twitter: "I like the way it looks. I love his name and I love him. music lasts forever".

But sadly, Ari and Pete ended their engagement in October 2018 but it’s only now that we learned what didn’t work out in their relationship.  

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s breakup reason was Mac Miller’s death. Davidson revealed in his interview that he knew his relationship with Grande was over after Miller’s accidental overdose in September 2018.

“I was like, ‘Listen, I get it, do whatever you’ve got to do, I’ll be here,’” said Davidson, who split from Grande a month after Miller’s death. “I think I said, ‘I’ll be here until you don’t want me to be here.’”

He continued, “I pretty much knew it was around over after that. That was really horrible, and I can’t imagine what that shit is like. All I do know is that she really loved the shit out of him, and she wasn’t putting on a show or anything. That was fucked up. Prayers to his family and all of his friends.”
