Former Prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif will be brought back to Pakistan by 15th January 2021, as announced by Minister of Information & Broadcast Shibli Faraz and Minister of Science & Technology Fawad Chaudhary.
Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz is hopeful that the government would bring former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif back to Pakistan by January 15, 2021 also During an interview, Fawad Chaudhary said that Nawaz Sharif will go back to jail as he returns.
The authorities had been directed to send a copy of the newspaper to Nawaz Sharif via the Pakistani High Commission in the UK.
However, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah reacted to Chaudhry’s statement that said that Nawaz went abroad due to illness, adding that there are relevant statements on the matter by the medical board and government officials.
Notably, after Nawaz’s controversial speeches, the incumbent government has announced to bring him back.
While addressing a convention of Tiger Force in Islamabad Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said “I’ll see you when you come back to Pakistan”. Imran Khan was also owed to bring the convicted(Nawaz Sharif) back to Pakistan.
The government had asked the Sharif family to pay Rs.7 billion as surety bonds equivalent to the fines imposed on him by an accountability court in two corruption cases Al-Azizia Steel Mills and Avenfield properties, in which he was convicted.
The federal government had allowed Nawaz to fly to London on medical grounds last year. There is a growing perception that Nawaz Sharif went to London after signing a deal with the establishment. However, he did not return within the given timeline and didn’t show up despite repeated summons from the courts, who have now declared him an absconder.
