Turkish famous series Resurrection Ertugul, producer and screenwriter Mehmet Bozdag recently announced that he is working on another historical series, the filming of which is almost complete and will be aired in Turkey in January 2021.
Dirilis: Ertugrul” is at the moment being aired on Pakistan Television in Urdu dubbing on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
At a premiere of the collection, Bozdag revealed that they began the undertaking two years in the past on the request of the Uzbek authorities and have already shot some episodes, including that they tried to introduce a brand new perspective.
They tried to introduce a new perspective in terms of cinema language, noting that the series has an original concept. Mehmet Bozdag also shared a tweet about ‘Kurulus Osman’ season 2.
Mehmet Bozdag said his mindset came from the history of a 1,000-year-old religion, Islam, and therefore he emphasized that he did not come up with scenarios in reaction to the West, Orientalism or Islamophobia. "I am not doing this for Hollywood or Bollywood or anyone who hates Islam," he said.
Producer also said "he expected the series to attract attention in Pakistan, but he never thought that would happen in such a short time. He emphasized that he is especially happy that the show is popular in Pakistan".
