Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for coronavirus, The news was shared by Portugal’s Football Federation through a statement on its website on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old Ronaldo is "well, has no symptoms and is in isolation". the Portuguese Football Federation has confirmed.

The news comes just days after Ronaldo featured in Portugal's goalless draw with France. At half-time, the Portuguese superstar was captured laughing and embracing Kylian Mbappe.

According to the statement: " Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the work of the National Team after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden.
