The Australian Cricket Champion Dean Jones has died of a massive heart attack.
Daen jones was part of the star sports commentary team and was in a biosecure bubble in a hotel in Mumbai.
He was 59 years old superb batsman. Dean Jones played for Australia in the 80s and had a very high average in one day cricket. He is best remembered for his performance in the tied test against India in Chennai in 1986 when he battled extreme heat and physical exhaustion to notch a memorable double century.
A gritty, attacking player, the Victorian made 3631 runs at an average of 46.55 in Tests, while in ODIs, he made 6068 runs, at 44.61, with seven hundred and 46 fifties. He also remains No.5 on the all-time ICC batting rankings in the format.
Daen was passionate about discovering new talent and nurturing young cricketers. He was a hero to a generation of cricketers and will forever be remembered as a legend of this great game.
